It’s about time I wrote another blog post. (This ones been sitting in my drafts for a while now). We’ve been renovating a small cottage, planning a wedding, getting married and my freelance business has been non-stop as of late so there’s been little time for personal projects. However i’m excited to finally share all of our wedding designs.
Since I was a young girl I’d been excited about the day I would get married. I’d dreamt of how my day would look, feel and sound and how it would be a great opportunity to put my creative touch on pretty much everything in sight! - I just needed a husband to do it! Several years ago I finally met my match and after many roadtrips, kayaking adventures, evening bike rides and camping trips he popped the question on our favourite secluded beach in Cornwall and we began the process of planning our wedding.
From the get go we wanted our guests to feel really loved and informed about what was going on in the lead up and on the day. Part of this was designing a website with key information about locations, times, places to stay, places to eat, registry, FAQs and an RSVP. Included in the order of service was a running order of the day and a map of the venue with a key. It was like a mini program for the day. We wanted people to explore the gorgeous grounds but also be in the right place and the right time. Our logo design evolved into save the dates, invites, signage, iconography, website, order of service/day, menus, table plan, guest book and more.
If your interested in any aspect of design for your big day please do get in touch!
