With most people being connected with a social media account (or several) in some form or another - it’s no wonder social media marketing is becoming of more importance to companies…
It’s about time I wrote another blog post. (This ones been sitting in my drafts for a while now). We’ve been renovating a small cottage, planning a wedding, getting married and my freelance business has been non-stop as of late so there’s been little time for personal projects. However i’m excited to finally share all of our wedding designs.
I’ve be wading through old work and trying to archive much of it as possible. I came across a write up of some thoughts after reading Austin Howe’s book – Designers Don’t Have Influences.
My library of creative/design and business books is ever growing. Most of these books tend to be white in colour with bold text covers, short, bit sized and applicable to not only the creative industry but to a wider audience too. Often broken up into topics they are easy to pick up and put down and pick up again. These books are not only good to learn from but provide a vast array of inspiration through language and visuals.
For those of you that know me will know that I also love to work with textiles. I love to pick up new skills and recently have been inspired by the combination of embroidery and lettering. The stitches bring the letters and words to life and create such beautiful pieces. See these 5 great examples to inspire your next project.
